I am a consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine based in Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton UK. I qualified in 1977 from Liverpool Medical School and following training in Newcastle upon Tyne, spent one year in Adelaide, Australia doing neonatal / paediatric anaesthesia and intensive care, Following this I spent two years in Seattle WA which included a pain fellowship. I am a fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and the Faculty of Pain Medicine. I am past president of the UK National Regional Anaesthetic Society (RAUK) and board member of the AAGBI. I am at present Secretary General of European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy (ESRA). My interests include: acute and chronic pain, palliative care, regional anaesthesia and ultrasound in medicine.
