ISURA 2015

ISURA (International Symposium of Ultrasound for Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine) is the largest meeting completely dedicated to the application of ultrasound for regional anesthesia and pain medicine. We are organizing the 12th ISURA in Rotterdam, a beautiful city on the Maas (Meuse) river, which was recently rated as the best city in Europe to live in (Urbanism Award).

As ultrasound is becoming an important tool in the peri-operative areas as well as pain management, we assemble a very exciting program to cover various facets of the use of ultrasound, including the use in gastric scanning, airway management, transthoracic echocardiography, guidance for regional anesthesia, and the application in the chronic pain management. New this year are topics on how to apply ultrasound to diagnose complications from regional anesthesia such as pneumothorax, diaphragmatic paresis and urinary retention, controversy/update in ultrasound, and group master class of 8 regional anesthesia techniques for all audience with the use of advanced audiovisual support.
